Copying .DAT file (VCD) to hard drive

I'm trying to copy a .DAT file from a VCD to my hard drive.

When I try to copy it via explorer it will copy for around a minute then the process will stop. What I do notice at this time is my CD-ROM is making a clicking sound every other second (its a very low sound but if you put your hand to the drive tray you can feel a light 'kick' every other second).

I can watch the entire movie with Windows Media Player and PowerDVD.

I also tried to copy the movie using PowerDirector Pro but it wouldn't go past 7 minutes 9 seconds (this is about the same period the file stopped copying in explorer.

I also tried making an image of the movie using Alcohol120 but it stopped around the same time.

So basically, I can WATCH the movie with a movie player such as PowerDVD, but when I try to copy the movie to my hard drive using several methods, it does not work.

Any suggestions?

You need Isobuster to copy the .DAT to your HD.
If you do this you can Watch the movie in Windows Media Player.

I'm trying this program right now however around 11%, I get the same problem (ticking from CD-ROM drive)

Isobuster gave me this error:

"Sector 35547 couldn't be read; Error: 03/11/00"

Edit: I have it set to ignore all errors and it seems to be transferring. Hopefully it can transfer it all...

Edit 2: ISOBuster froze. Back to the drawing board.
