Q: Father's/Men's rights... any horror stories?
 

A day doesn't go past where I'll not hear a story from a friend or fam or passerby about how they're getting screwed in the 'Father's Rights' area.

Some of these if not most of them are beyond my comprehension. It's like by default if you're a dad you're guilty, wages assimilated and without tests for paternity etc.

Any horror stories out there? Is it the same in foreign countries?

Here in the states, if a chick says you're the dad, you pay. Some cases even where DNA says you're not the dad you STILL pay.

Sucks don't it?

In canada I beleive you must provide a DNA test before any decision will be made by the courts wiith child support .

I could write a book on this subject. LOL. I just hired a attorney Friday to go for full custody of my children. I get the kids more than half the time anyway. It's a sad situation whenever kids are involved, but the good news is that courts see child issues a lot differently than even 8 years ago. They are much more open to giving father's more rights than before. So many big studies have came out in the last year concluding that the more contact female children have with a father figure, the less likely they are to become "sluts". Of course everyone already knew that, but now there is documented proof of this from several major research groups. These studies can blow away any womans claim to the "mother/child" bonding issue. A man is just as important in a child's life as a woman is. These studies are proof you can use in court.

But custody/visitation and child support payments are 2 totally seperate issues, and many states will not allow one to affect the other in any way. Florida gives way too much power to the Child Support Enforcement Unit. Those fuckers can suspend your driver's license without any judicial process whatsoever. It's insane the powers they have. They will go after hardworking guys who try to keep caught up but fall behind, before they go after guys who have never paid a dime. Who is easier for them to find? It's a joke here in Florida.

Choker, that's what I hear over and over again. Total suspension of civil and constitutional rights where payments are concerned. It's really tragic especially if you're in the military. There are guys in the military, in combat who get shafted even when they explain to the courts they're thousands of miles away. It's like if you're a guy, you're fucked no matter what.

In mass, if anyone tells the judge that the father isnt the father he'll order a dna test before doing anything else, he could just order it cause he fucking feels like it, a birth cert means absolutely nothing apparently. If you are paying in this state you'll be damn sure its your kid.
