Spooky Cash Will Pay Partners Directly! Globill Affiliate Stats Partially Back Up!
Affiliates will receive personalized emails on this subject once we are totally back up to speed. But I just wanted to share the good news. Our immediate thought on this situation was that we would pay our affiliates directly if Globill was unable to come through, but then we realized that we had no idea what any of the affiliates were owed. Our situation was a little better than some because we have all of our affiliate emails backed up, but not being able to get to the affiliate data was a serious obstacle to taking care of folks.
Happily, Globill's affiliate information has been made partially accessible again. It is going to take us a few days of databasing and cross-referencing, but we should be able to figure out exactly what each partner is owed by the end of the week. So we will be able to take care of everybody. On a side note, I think it is really decent of Globill to give us access to emails for current members and to affiliate data. A lot of companies in their situation would not do that, as evidenced by the companies who have been in that situation who have not done that. I also think that there really may be some settlement made when the smoke clears on this. |
Excellent news amongst the bad Amelia, you guys are a class act.

I really don't think that there's much Globill can do to be considered "decent"...
But congratulations on getting some of your information back. Good luck. |

Thanks :) I am soooooooooo relieved to have been able to retrieve the data, so I can take care of everyone. Now I just have to get someone in here to database it all . . . |
That's a stand up thing to do.

hope the site i was promoting does the same thing for me. a real classy thing to do

Thanks :) I'm pretty darn pleased about it. I'd definitely prefer it if Globill were right about getting around the Visa registration, but, under the amazingly sucky circumstances, I think it is pretty decent to give webmasters some of the data needed to keep doing what we do. I'm sort of bugged about having a social security number, so the whole registration thing makes me feel kinda sick, but I guess I don't want to leave the Visa money on the table, so . . . well, I guess when brimstone rains on my head for being registered, then I won't be able to claim shock any more than I can for Globill having problems. |
Classy move, Amelia. :thumbsup

It looks to me like a lot of the programs are covering what Globill was supposed to for their affiliates. I know the Globill crash put some people totally out of business, but I think it is just the right thing to do to cover your affiliates, if you are still ticking and want people to promote your stuff in the future. We've got our new CCBill program live at http://www.spookycash.com/ now, so my next priority is sorting out the Globill aff stats. The databasing/cross-referencing to figure out what is owed is sooooooooo boring though. I can't get someone else to do it because a bunch of the necessary data is in my personal email. |
