I have a girlfriend of mine that wants to take her parent to Cuba for a holiday...

I was freaked out considering this country has so many people trying to escape only to meet their deaths at sea.

she claims the people are happy and friendly and love life....is this because fidel makes them put on a show for the non american tourists? :helpme
