Its hard to give exact number because flashcash doesn't let you pull stats for the year. But most periods I do about 1:240 raw.

They are billed as review sites. Check out mr skin or true celeb. They are reviewing the movies.

i just notice its harder to convert with celeb sites these days, been running em for almost 5 years now and i used to be able to set up the sites and not worry about the sponsors not converting after a month, but since about March of this year i've been having to switch sponsors all the time, sometimes they convert well one period, shit the other, sometimes they will convert for a month and then nothing and sometimes they change format which sends ratios to shit. not sure why really, i blame the fact that most celeb paysites are shit, with the exception of a few, and those few are for the most part, over exposed.

Let me elaborate on this one a bit....

First allow me to quote something from Stanford Law School library on the subject...

"Fair use is a copyright principle based on the belief that the public is entitled to freely use portions of copyrighted materials forpurposes of commentary and criticism. For example, if you wish to criticize a novelist, you should have the freedom to quote a portion of the novelist's work without asking permission. Absent this freedom, copyright owners could stifle any negative comments about their work."



With that in mind, think of Mr. Skin - one of the few legal celebrity web sites on the net. Not only can you find 1000s of pictures and videos of nude celebs on their site, but tons of movie reviews and nudity in movies reviews as well. Using the "Fair Use" concept, this is completely legal because they are offering reviews of the materials they are presenting.

Think of the TV show "Entertainment Tonight." They are always showing clicks of up and coming movies. Or that one show where the the two guys review movies together. They always show clicks of movies and the either give them a good review or bad review. Do you think the Studio that produced "Gigli" would allow people to tear their movie apart they way they have if it were not for this fair act clause.

Nude celeb sites can be legal if reviews of the movies that you are borrowing the material from is included. Think of it as Entertainment Tonight buy only showing the naked parts of the movies.

Most celebrities love it - free press. Most studios love it as well being as if you see some nude photos of actress XYZ on Mr Skin, you are that much more likely to go see the movie or rent the DVD. How many people here saw "Swordfish" or "Monster's Ball" because you heard that Halle Berry got naked in them. Heck, Halle even said on the MTV movie awards that if you want to see her tits, you have to go see her movie. This is why many studios offer the guys that run Mr. Skin nudity in films clicks and pics not even in the theatres yet and that is why Celeb Sites are not as bad as they are made out to be.

The only draw back is once in a blue moon, a celeb finds God or something and gets mad about her nude photos being on the Internet. But if you run a celeb site and get notice to remove her name and pictures from your site and you do - you are in the cool.

The other huge no-no is using photos from magazines (any of them).

I agree it's harder, but we the sponsors have made it harder by the huge number of celebs sites that market by bait and switch. Some market allot of fake stuff that stars have never done or the advertise stars they don't even have in their sites. Surfers get pissed-off when they join a site looking for shit that is advertised and get in the members section and there's nothing there. But if you are willing to put in the work celeb is the largest and most marketable niche cause the whole world wants the see fav stars naked and there's always new content:thumbsup

Where do you find your content Mr. Skin?

I had to take down by very big celeb paysite famousx.com last week after a conversation with Steve Easton from APIC.
3 1/2 years of hard work. I had a huuuge database with all kinds of infos about the celebs, weekly box-office and video rentals top 10. Movie infos, search engine. You could search by country, year of birth, hair color,... anything.

HOWEVER,... I started famousx.com back in 2000 because I was pissed by all those bad celeb paysites out there and wanted to do it better.
Well, and now I had to close my site forever.

Let me tell you something about celeb sites from the view of an experienced webmaster in this niche as well as a fan of celeb sites:
THE ONLY SITE WOTH PROMOTING IS Mrskin.com.
1. because it's one of the very few legal sites
2. it's a damn good site

celeb sites like mine will be taken down sooner or later. I had to learn my lesson the hard way.
So all others would have to copy mrskin.com...
mrskin will rule the celeb niche on the net :)

why did you let APIC of all ppl shut down your site? everyone knows those guys don't have a leg to stand on. how can they enforce copyright on material that they don't own any rights to?! i don't think anyone really listens to steve easton...

i now work on a new project called adultcashcenter. famousx is gone... it was a shock but it was a dangerous game i played. that's the way it goes.
steve easton just did his job. he didn't tell me to take my whole site down. we had a good conversation and it it was my decision to close the doors of famousx.

We are litigation counsel for Cameron Diaz.

Ms. Diaz and we have become aware that www.*****.com ("the Website") is displaying pictures which purport to be Ms. Diaz. I am directing this letter to **** ("You") as the DNS or Web Host of the URL or domain name for the owner and operator of the Website. Either through a process of computer imaging, digital alteration, Photoshop, or other technologies applied to photographic images, a number of photographs or images of Ms. Diaz have been altered, for example her face and head have been stripped onto someone else's body. This technological fabrication or manipulation of images, falsely makes it appear that Ms. Diaz has been willingly photographed nude in various poses and has sought to commercially exploit the nude photos on the Internet. These photographs will be referred to herein collectively as "the Fake Photographs."

In addition, the unauthorized false and/or misleading advertising of these Fake Photographs similarly constitutes a misappropriation of Ms. Diaz' name and likeness for commercial purposes. The dissemination and display of these Fake Photographs also constitutes unfair business practices in violation of the California Business & Professions Code and, in some cases, also constitutes a false designation of origin causing confusion to the viewer/consumer, which is in violation of Section 43(a) of the Federal Lanham Act, among other violations of applicable law.

The owner and operator of the Website has also displayed, published, disseminated and commercially appropriated other images of Ms. Diaz without her consent and, we believe, without the consent of the copyright proprietor of each of those photos (herein "the Other Photographs"). Some of those Other Photographs also seem to have been retouched or altered in certain ways. Irrespective of any changes or alterations, the use of these Other Photographs also constitutes an unauthorized commercial appropriation of my client's name and likeness without her consent and also constitutes unfair business practices in violation of the Lanham Act, among other things.

On behalf of Ms. Diaz, we demand the following:

1. You must immediately demand that the owner and operator of the Website remove from the Website all of the Fake Photographs and Other Photographs and must agree to cease and desist from any further posting exploitation and/or distribution of the Fake Photographs and Other Photographs.

2. You must confirm that the owner and operator of the Website has removed the Fake Photographs and Other Photographs of Ms. Diaz from the Website.

3. You must provide us the name and contact information, as well as any other identifying information of the owner and operator of the Website.


You would be well advised to comply with these demands immediately and to inform us in writing of your agreement to do so within five (5) days of the date of this letter.
