"Prior Art" in patents...
 

So, I'm thinking about this current patent threat and recalled a web site, www.bountyquest.com, that folded back during the dot bomb implosion. They had all sorts of useful information on how to both defend as well as attack patents. I only stopped by once and I was kicking myself in the ass for not having webwhacked it to my hard drive when I had a chance. I recalled there was all sorts of information there that might be useful in this case.

Then I thought of The Way Back Machine ! So, if anyone wants to help the cause, here's the instructions this site gave to break patents:

Prior Art Tutorial This link defines how to look for and identify a prior work that can be used to invalidate a patent. And get this, it may be gathering dust in your local library! Fame, fortune and songs of praise awaits the resourceful soul that finds it.

There's a ton of other useful information archived on that site, btw. Just click a link that looks interesting, highlight and copy the URL which generates the DNS not found error and go back to The Way Back Machine to get the page, not even yellowed around the edges yet...
