So...Saddam torched his car collection.The collection consisted of a few hundred cars...over 2 dozen of which were RRs and Bentley's. Most all of them had been stolen from various places throughout the Middle East.

It's heartbreaking to me to see that so many people are rejoicing over someone else's death.

I think the U.S. could have captured them alive if they had really wanted to but it makes me almost afraid to be an American to know that our government and military are so bloodthirsty.

While I am relieved that two such violent and sadistic men are no longer able to inflict atrocities on their people, I am still saddened by the fact that they were not captured alive. These men may have been cruel, but they were a product of their upbringing and I guess I am just one who still thinks that murder is murder whether it's called murder, assasination, the death penalty or whatever.

I didn't mean to rain on anyone's parade, but damnit, I'm pregnant and I'm entitled to my opinion, even if it is against public opinion. :)

It's too perfect. The government would never offer photos as 'hard proof' if they weren't REALLY trying to distract people from something else. Like the location of Saddam perhaps, or the WMD, or maybe something closer to home. Are any bills about to be pushed through that we should notice? To have captured them and put them on trial would of been a clever move. What makes you think clever moves are suddenly going to start happening?
