Hard Drive MP3 Players
 

Can anyone recommend a hard drive MP3 player that holds at least 30GB?

I know of the 30GB iPod but I have heard mixed things about it.

If you've heard mixed things about the iPod, you weren't hearing them from anyone who actually owns one. I just got my girlfriend one of the new 10gig models and it's the shit. She can't find one flaw with it so far.

I heard people on this board say negative things about the windows version of the 30GB model.

Soneone who actually owns one, or someone just talking out their ass as is the usual on GFY?

We've got a new generation 10 gig...no problems so far. But it's working in conjunction with a Mac, so maybe that's where the problem lies...WINDOWS.

I hate to say it, but I know someone with a 30 (using it with windows) who wasn't happy with his iPod. My guess is some batches had hardware issues... and, of course, the windows software isn't as good as iTunes.

I got the 20 gig Archos player. I dont' know if a newer version holds 30GB, you'd have to check that out.

Player works well, no complaints :thumbsup

i have friends with ipods and they SWEAR by it. from pc to mac users, everyone absolutely loves it. Other than that I cant help you... but www.edigital.com 's mp3 player looks decent.... well an ipod rip off.

You aren't going to get anything better than the ipod. All of the other players are over sized and ugly aswell. You want something that fits easily into your pocket and you aren't irritated in carrying around.

The iPod looks pretty nice. I browsed the site a bit and my only gripe is that the remote it comes with is pretty shitty-looking because it has no display. The CD Player I use right now's remote has a huge LCD on it:

I plan on almost exclusively using the hard drive mp3 player in the car so a good remote is necessary since I put the actual player under my passenger seat and have the remote taped with mounting tape in front of the shifter.

Does anyone know of any hard drive MP3 players with decent remotes?
