This New York shooting just keeps getting funnier
 

Now they are reporting that there was an "exchange of gunfire" between the councilman and the man who shot him. Both are now dead. Apparently the New York City Hall is overrun with armed people. Why, you ask? Well, because employees, guards, media personnel and people traveling with any of the above are not required to go through the metal detectors. No, that sort of inconvenience is only for the little people, the plebes. I love it when hypocrisy bites people in the ass.

What is the point of fucking up my day by making me go through metal detectors, security checkpoints, x-ray machines and searches if you're just going to let everyone else into the building with grenades, mace and machetes just because they happen to work there?

CNN: One person was killed and another wounded in a shooting today at New York's City Hall, and the shooter remains at large.

Yahoo: Two people killed. Councilman dies at the scene. Gunman was shot by security guard and dies at hospital.
