You have exit popups? I've never seen them

Sly_RJ 07-22-2003 11:21 PM

Is it having an impact on yours?

sacX 07-22-2003 11:22 PM

i have a couple of smaller paysites (fairly new) that now use exits. not very much traffic to judge anything by though.

damn, they actually made more? we talking paysites?

BRISK 07-22-2003 11:29 PM

Has anyone ever seen any stats on the number of people using pop-up blockers? Any reputable stats companies like Neilsen following this?

yeah paysites, they made more signups. it was actually pretty close, but i think the exits made more signups... revenue of course was less.

I've noticed a small reduction in impressions and clicks for my exits. I'm more worried when Google's Toolbar 2.0 gets publicly released (mass distributed, not their beta). That will really hurt exit sales in my opinion.

What does the Google Toolbar 2.0 do?

Has a popup blocker. I never bothered to install a popup blocked but since Google has one I definitely use it. It's a great feature but hurts my bottom line.

This sucks, I dont rely on popups for revenue, put for fitting the most amount of information in small places, sorta like collegefuckfest does as well.

All sites popping embedded videos will have to figure something out.

I've never installed a popup blocker because there are sites that have legitimate uses for popups. Mainstream sites I mean.

Pipecrew 07-22-2003 11:45 PM

Quiet, I am curious about thsee new sites, are you submitting galleries for them already?

Pipecrew 07-22-2003 11:57 PM

Aaaaaaaaah Netscape 7.1, built in the best fuckin Pop-Up stopper I've seen yet!

i think a lot of people havn't wanted to bother with buying/downloading a standalone pop up blocker program. once the new google toolbar is out i bet it will hurt a lot since its so clean, easy to install and use, and works very well. plus everyone loves google already.

Be more afraid of Yahoo and AOL's next releases. That's where all our money is coming from. Most of the people that use Google are the ones that know where to find free porn the fastest.

Umm yeah for sure... what is a mainstream site that has legitimate pop ups... unless you forgot to upgrade your AOL!!

Oh my bad i need to find my ex-classmates that are still working at the local carwash. Or refinance my mortgage.
