Movie Theater Etiquette

Ok, so tonight I went to see "Bad Boys II" at a Regal Cinemas (A notch better than the local $1.00 theater)... Some punk ass kid 2 seats down comes in, sits in the row behind me, and props his legs up on the seat in front of him, with his feet dangling over the back of the seat, with NO SOCK, and NO SHOES... Fucking barefoot!! WTF!!!

Rule #1:
If you see me sitting in front of you, and want to put your feet up on the seat... be sure that you have your shoes on (at least).

Resolution to the problem:
I initially gave him the almighty "What the fuck do you think you are doing???!?!?!?" look, to which he was oblivious as to why I was glaring at him.

Next, I calmly said "Put your fucking feet down!". To which he was deaf and didn't understand what I said.

So, I had no other choice, but, to get my lighter out, and ignite a flame beneath his feet.

He jumped back, and said "What the hell??!!... What's your problem??"

Voodoo said "Nothing anymore. Put some fucking shoes on your nasty feet." He complied... and I enjoyed the rest of the movie.

That shit pisses me off to no end. I mean, it's not just this, it seems that everytime I go to a movie lately, some assface sits right behind me, and either talks during the quiet parts of the movie, they keep bumping my seat, they put their feet up, they have kids that won't STFU, their phones ring or whatever... the list seems to be endless. And if it's not a fellow movie goer that fucks it all up, it's the theater itself... Power goes out, no sound, picture is fuzzy, A/C doesn't work. ARRRGGG!

Has anyone else noticed an increase in movie theater disappointments lately?

Yes, and I won't even bother going into my rant - suffice to say I'm quite happy to pay $4 to rent the DVD and watch it at home after it's out of the theatres.

The prices have gone up and the service has gone down... when going to see a movie means paying for 2 adults and 2 kids, that kind of bullshit is unacceptable. I can save myself $30, still see the flick, and not be pissed off afterwards.

It's not just movies, I experience people doing the most annoying things in all sorts of situations.

Sometimes I really can't stand being around people.

Last time I went to the movies, I had a family of 12 loud ass mexican kids behind me, half of which didn't speak english...so the other half translated the whole fucking film for the others, pissed off every person in the theatre. What a waste of time.

its called kids are being raised with no fucking manners and consideration for others... quite common amongst the youth these days.

thats great you burned his feet....

I cut some chicks hair off for swinging it in my face all the time and giving me dirty looks when i would slap the back of her head and tell her to knock it off...:1orglaugh

That's a great idea, but that could have gotten you in a world of shit had he gone to the manager saying you tried to light him on fire.

I hate movie theaters for this reason. Only reason I go is cause my kid likes them. Most times I just prefer waiting for the DVD to come out.

That is funny as fuck with the lighter. :1orglaugh

Do what I do,

Bring a big bottle of water, and try to be one of the first in the theater.

Pour said bottle of water on the seats right behind, and right infront of you.

Magically, they will remain empty during the show.

Hmm... I love going to the movies. You guys must have some kick ass home theaters, there's no absolutely no comparison between the big screen with full audio and my 32".

Voodoo, I feel your pain

Shit like that is why I invested thousands in a DLP projector, a movie screen, a sound system, comfortable chairs, and wiring. Now I wait for movies to come out on DVD, but nobody disturbs me in any way while I'm watching my flicks anymore :)

i'm surprised no one's mentioned those dicks that bring a phone with them, leave the ringer on and then proceed to take calls. odd they always seem to be of a particular ethnic persuasion too.

Bad Boys 2?

You brought it on yourself going to see that one in public!

You might as well have attended a retard convention.

The tickets to the retard convention were all sold out. Sorry, they said you purchased all of them... something about your family reunion?

Anyhow, for the rest of you who were not drowned in the gene pool, the movie was pretty good. It was somewhat exhaustive, and they could have probably cut out about 20 minutes of it, but, on the whole, it was worth seeing once. :)
