need your opinion on video...
 

ok, i need some input on video over the web. we're about to re-capture all our exclusive content and then re-encode them. what i need input on is should i encode the whole video or cut them up into smaller clips so it's easier to download? i want to have 2 different size videos for 56k people and broadband.

one idea i have was create 2 minute clips for each size and have a 3rd clip of the whole thing at high quality but zip it up.

anyso, what would work best that would keep the members happy?

Cut them up into smaller clips. Encode them in two different bit rates, a lower res for the dial ups, and a high res for everyone else.

Encode them as Windows Media Player and MPEG.

And encode one large clip for the entire scene. Give people all the options.

Do you need help with this or are you have then editing and encode abilites?
