We buy sometimes from russia, but at the moment at a very limited level, because most of the quality from there sucks and for the rest they have prices in mind which are a "bit" to high

That's what I mean mate... It's like any supply and demand product. Many people in the Uk go and buy cigarettes and booze from Europe because it's cheaper. I would buy content from Russia, if they came up with some realistic prices afterall models cost fuck all to hire over there. They have the perfect location to produce something at a competitive price and make a lot of cash in the long run. As it stands, there's very little point buying content from abroad when I can buy it local for the same or at an even lower price with less risk.

Mixphoto - as for prices... you tell me what your paying models and I'll tell what our guys are paying... your profit margin is taking the piss. Last time I checked, it doesn't take much cash to live like a king over there.

well the girls are pretty cheap in Moscow to shoot. I believe they charge from $100 to $200/hour for hardcore shoot and even videos. And if you go outside of Moscow, they are dirt dirt cheap. And most of chicks there are just gorgeous.

i for the most told the guy the same thing , man get real on the cost and we can talk , but fuck man when i am buying stuff for my personal site`s that need white chicks and getting the content from american content makers and they are smoking his price there is damn sure some thing wrong here ,
I shoot asian content and we get at a very good price w e pay them so i pass that savings on to the buyer as well .
I have learn that the russian content guys think we aer all dumb and they can charge this , when infact no one will pay that high .
this guy gave me a name of a big content brooker and said they are paying that price and i really dout it , i think it was like focuse content , somthing like that , and told me these guys are paying like 3.00 a photo ,

I was under the impression it was

$50 per DAY for softcore (6 hour shoot) and $75 for hardcore.

That info came from a UK webmaster at a London meeting who has moved out there... and he's not based in Moscow. It's a shame he won't shoot content for other people...

you are fully right on the price , like hel if they are that high , that is bull shit ,
we have shot there and i know first hand that is off the wall for pricing ,
now in japan they get that high and higher , you will pay for alot fo the girls in japan from 200 to 500 for a couple of hours

Try shooting indoors. Snow fetish was not on my list either ;)

Maybe this Price for Ukraine, but not St. Petersburg and Moscow...

In Japan they have to :) The girls are into fashion and clothing in a big way over there and considering the cost of living, you can expect costs to be higher. I ain't got a problem with that ;)

And no, I/we won't buy content at your price from Russia. You are too expensive for where you are based. It will work out cheaper if I fly to Russia and hire the models myself. It's got nothing to do with how good a photographer you are but how cheap I can get content. I'd only buy from you to make a significant saving. Come up with a realistic price, and I'll buy from you instead.
