What's your favorite old sitcom or show to watch?
 

I know I was a big fan of Cheers and Welcome Back Kotter.

Hell yeah I forgot about Taxi, honestly I love so many sitcoms from the late 70's into the 80's that I couldn't name all of them.

I like that show with Archie Bunker for one reason - laughing at how racist he was.

And how he calls down his wife.
It's so sick ... but I can laugh about it. How fucked was that guy. Man.

Anyone remember SOAP? That show rocked :thumbsup

I remember it, I watched reruns of that while I was growing up. The Jeffersons too and Three's Company.

That was a good show. Made people think. All In The Family.

I love older TV shows, especially sitcoms.

A&E was p;laying simon and simon ... and murder she wrote in the 3am and 4am time slots back a few months ago... i was hooked for like 4 months... in the background...as i worked my ass off into the wee hours of the morning

I liked the one where the Globetrotters had to play the robots.

My favorite one is the one with the big game hunter who lands on the island and wants to hunt Gilligan.

funny, living over here I find mylsef watching shows I would never be into back home because they are old and American. Are a lot of the old shows showing up on dvd yet?

Steptoe and Son, Hancocks Half Hour (UK) Taxi & Soap (US).

All in the Family, Three's Company, I Love Lucy, Family Ties, The Facts of Life, The Jeffersons, Sanford and Son... those are just a few. I LOVE TV Land and Nick at Nite. I watch Nick at Nite faithfully. :) I hate it that they're putting ROSEANNE on next month. WTF? For one thing it's not old enough to be on there yet, and for another thing I got tired of that show when it was in reruns for years and years on TBS. :(

I used to love the Cosby Show and Cheers but I saw every episode so many times it just got boring. I'm almost getting to that point with Three's Company now. But I never get tired of I Love Lucy or All in the Family or Sanford and Son. And I really wish they'd bring back The Facts of Life... they didn't have it on there long enough.

Heck, there are alot of shows I wish they'd rerun (or at least show more often since some of these DO come on TV Land)... Knight Rider, Dukes of Hazzard, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Silver Spoons, A-Team, Buck Rogers, Battlestar Galactica... there are lots of shows from the 70s and 80s that I really miss.

And don't get me started on the cartoons and kids shows I wish they'd bring back in reruns. :)

Yes that show was great with MJ Fox, I lost interest when they switched cast.

Spin City was awseome in its prime but once they brought in Heather Locklear it when down big time, really sad.

Ahhh yeah Silver Spoons, you said it right there! I already mentioned in another thread Head of the Class and Perfect Strangers, but you can also add Different Strokes, What's Happening Now, Good Times and some others.
