How about a whitelist?
I constantly see blacklists posted for tgp's and while I'm sure most of them are legitimate, there are some reasons that blacklists should be scrutinized.
Assume for a moment that EVERY tgp traded blacklists. Not to mention that every time someone lists a blacklist here, every tgp owner takes it as gospel that these domains ARE cheaters. Is it possible that a tgp owner could simply blacklist you for promoting the same sponsor? Why the hell not. If you're promoting ARS or Topbucks, it would be pointless because of the number of affiliates. If however, you were promoting a smaller site with a handful of affiliates, what better way to kill the competition than to slap them on a blacklist and circulate it for all to see. All it would take is for one tgp to blacklist you for this reason and your domain, username and email would be fucked. Then you'd have to start over, pretty much from scratch. While it is necessary to have a blacklist, I'd also like to see a whitelist from some of the tgp's that have trusted partners. Show the usernames and domains that you TRUST. Perhaps instead of accepting random galleries from random individuals, it would be more productive if you tgp owners listed the domains that were on whitelist instead of ignoring the ones on the blacklist. Honest webmasters would get more listings and tgp owners would have less to worry about. Just my :2 cents: |
