Armstrong going down?
Top british oddsmaking house says that Ullrich is now the favorite.
If Lance can't put a minute + into Ullrich on the climb to Luz Ardiden tomorrow, its likely over. I wouldn't be surprised if Vinokourov takes the yellow jersey tomorrow then loses it to Ullrich in the final time trial. |
Armstrong said he lost 15 lbs from dehydration in the time trial. He expects to improve with every day. I hope he attacks and gets some time before they leave the mountains, but I think he can hold his own in the last time trial.

Neil Armstrong is god.

Sure it could happen. We all know you're praying for it.

And of course, they don't ride bikes at nearly 30mph in 100 degree temperatures while dehydrated. |
... Iīd love to see ulrich winning, but I donīt think he will win the final time trial again as armstrong can do better than he showed 3 days ago. he must attack tomorrow and close the 15 seconds gap.
... whatever happens, itīs the best tour de france in ages ... 3 guys can win it this time and I am not going to put money on it !! |

I agree about the excitement though! For the last few years, when Lance would put 5 minutes into his nearest rival on the first TT and mountain stage, the Pyrenees and second half of the race had the feeling of being nothing more than a formality. This year a billion + people in 150 countries will be on the edge of their seats tomorrow as the race approaches the last mountaintop finish. |
