Everyday I get over 100 spam emails, this morning I have 37 already. This is getting fuckin rediculous. I should just img src everyone of these cocksuckers.

If you run your own mailserver I stronly suggest modifying it to reject connections from spammers or spam friendly places by using SPEWS or other DNSBL's.

Spammers hate SPEWS. They hate it because it's about the only thing that works.

I've always used Outlook or Outlook express for handling my mail, and I have the "rules" set to route spam straight into the shit bin. Out of every 100 emails that make it to my inbox, I would say only about 20 of them are spam now, whereas before setting the rules it was more like 80 were spam.


Set some rules to filter out words like "Viagra", "remove", "removal", "unsubscribe" etc etc and you should see a dramatic drop in the amount of spam in your inbox.


Then just skim over your "Deleted Items" bin for any legitimate emails that might have mistakenly been caught, then hit "empty deleted items folder" and your spam is dealt with in one shot. It used to take me an hour to get through my morning mail.... now I tear through it in about 10 minutes.

If you use outlook, forget about rules. Download spampal (free) it checks incoming emails against spews and about 10 other databases and routes your spam to a seperate folder; it catches about 95% of my spam, about 100 messages a day.

Content filtering just doesn't work for me - I get models who put words like 'XXX' in the subject line after all, and I don't want that filtered. SpamPal blocks messages because they come from spammers, not based on what the message contains.:BangBang:

Pete. I use a solution that uses a combination of filtering through multiple blocklists(like SPEWS) selectable by the user and additionally a Regex (filter). I had to customize the Regex filter to allow the sexually oriented words given that I want my TGP confirmations and sponsor email. Their are mutiple filters/plugins that may be added to the program making it more powerful.

This program runs on your email client and integrates nicely into Outlook Express. Check out SPAMPAL It stuffs about 98% of spam into a seperate folder for easy screening and deletion. It is a FREE solution and the best I've seen.

I also endorse the SPEWS, SBL, and SpamCop, Osirusoft block lists. The fact that the lowlife spammers on this board complain bitterly about these services is evidence that they work..:2 cents:

You could use spamarrest.com for your personal addresses.
But you can't receive the emails from any scripts.

I just open my new service.
The sender has to comfirm that they have send a mail, if not you don't get the mail.
If you have some scripts or have join a service useing a auto sending mail, you can go into the area and tell the script that you want mail from them.

I get some from one spammer that uses names that begin with A. I'll get hit once or twice every few days with about 1500+ messages at once.
