Fucking AMD !#@$%$^!%@$@
Fuck. Even though I got a sweet deal on this Asus a7v333 and 2100MP chip I am strarting to regret it. The damn thing hit 75c and crashed during Unreal Tournament. The game usualy crashes after about a half hour of play. Now I know why.. The damn system is too hot.
So here's my options. Pick up a mini rad and copper block at a surplus farming equipment store (princess auto) and rig that up. Get a new case. Or just lay the guts out in front of my AC unit on my desk. As it is I have my side panels removed. If I put them on and load up the case with fans, it will hit 90c in 30 seconds. Not good. Last time I buy a case for it's looks. |
my comp. has 4 fans

It's got to be this fucking case. This is the 3rd board and chip that got hot on me. All from this case. Dammit, I want to kill it now. It's all sheet metal with a plastic front and shitlaods of extra holes everywhere so fans can't be used to direct air flow where I want it. Maybe I should just cut a huge hole in the top and pop in that sexy triple turbine fan I saw at princess auto. 1500 cfm

whoa...thats wayy too hot...when running UT2003 my comp. never hits anything past 50 degrees...ever

50c is IDLE temp for me :helpme

Dude, you should get an Antec case, and the fan you should use on your CPU should be Cooler Master, however, Global Win, or a Swiftech fan are pretty good, if not better. AMD and Intel chips are hot, and no matter which one your get if the temperature rises too much on them they will shut off. G4 & G5 are just overall better engineered chips, the heat dissapation is extremely low in comparison.

PROBLEM SOLVED
http://back-off-bitch.net/temp/new.jpg Added that plus an intake fan in the front and an intake on the side panel. System temp at 32c and cpu at 37c full load :) |
Well, I have just bought an HP B1000 server, and it runs really smooth.
The box has 6 fans and the processor has a big fan with BIG aluminium disipator (I haven't seen sutch a thing even on overclocked boxes). The fact is that the box costed me 55 euros, and only the fans cost more :) also it has a PA-RISC 64 bits processor, so it's quite fast :) Pics here: http://www.icefire.org/fotos/ |
