Black and white movies. You like?
I don't normally watch them myself, but there's something comforting about falling asleep to some ancient b/w movie with the violins playing and the uber-drama.
Anyone else? |
Inter-racial movies can be fun sometimes...... is that what you meant?

M is a pretty good movie.
Citizen Kane is also pretty good. I watch a lot of movies, but I basically hate all of the "Golden Age of Cinema" crap with Bogart and junk. So the rest of my black and white favs would be movies that where made in the days of color movies. Oh I almost forgot, because I was thinking disgust with the Golden Age. Akira Kurosawa movies kick ass. Yojimbo Seven Samurai Rashumon Forbidden Fortress |
i feel same way, late at night watching some old Bette Davis movie is good even if i'm only half paying attention - think it makes me feel like a kid again, when i was young there were lots more old movies from the 40s and 50s on TV, especially on Sunday afternoons.
I like the way they acted in those days, it's so different, they all talked really fast, and for some reason many Hollywood actors from the 30's and 40's would put on phoney affected almost British accents. Feel the same way watching old TV shows, definitely enjoy the ones in B&W before they switched to color like Dick Van Dyke and Andy Griffith. The old comedies hold up, are just as good or better than most of the crap today. Honeymooners is pure gold and the one I like alot is Sgt Bilko, used to play late at night on some UHF channel. |
I prefer Sepia.
