Anyone hear about how music media got hoaxed?
 

Basically a Montreal band whose frontman used to write wrestling parodies and such came up with a hoax geared towards Metallica about them suing his band over use of the E-F chord progression.

Somehow though media like MuchMusic, Cnn, even the Jimmy Kimmel Live show bought into it.
