I stopped my very first mugger
ok so i just moved into my new place..and if anyone doesn't know me i am highly territorial, i always speak my mind and always do what i feel to be right..so i go out on walks around my neighborhood. So far i have told off several crack smokers and bums begging for money..i dont care..i'll buy them lunch if they want but get the fuck out of my yard..
anyway...i am walking near my house and i am behind an East indian family...who look a little lost..the man of the family could not have been more then 120-140 lbs...well a native indian, who is also a bum is begging them for money, but by stopping them and not letting the man pass...meanwhile the guy is with his whole family and probably scared to hell, and getting embarrassed. the poor guy was being pushed and shoved in front of his family so i sped my steps up, and came up behind the east indian guy, and put my arm around his shoulder..i am not huge but 195 lbs of good solid northern canadian boy...i smiled at the mugger, and told the family man that we should just keep walking...we did...and of course the mugger wasn't going to do shit. i dont care how much crack a crack head is on..they are still wacked out..and will lose everytime. i have since chased the same mugger out of my hood a couple times...i hope he comes back today i am feeling viscious after writing this..and i feel like taking a walk soon anyone see shit like this in their neighborhood? vigilante justice would have been nice |
Maybe your time will be better served if you tried to see if you can help the native indian as well.

Phoenix Dude -
I well and truly applaud you for that..... we need more people like you around. People with balls. I dunno about out there but in London (UK) mugging is out of hand and the people need to take back the streets so I hugely admire people who step out of their way to knock those fuckers back. |
Sounds like a pretty shitty neighborhood to move into. I didn't have problems like that even when I was living in the ghetto.

hmm, i like the way you think i could always use moremoney...if you are talking about location...that is the weird part, it is the nicest part of the city...righton the waterfront...it is the boardwalk that attracts everyone |

i moved in and now it is mine..so shove off down the road... |
We had some problems the first summer we moved into this house. Even had a teenage street gang. They all left by the Fall. Disheartened that they no longer ran the streets and took what they wanted. :thumbsup

I just wish the muggers in New Orleans were as nice as the canadian variety seems to be. Down here they tend to pistol whip you if they think you're not giving them enough money.
Your american indian fellow would be considered just another aggressive panhandler in the French Quarter. Easily dealt with, unless you agreed beforehand that he didn't know where you got your shoes... |
Make sure you put on your blue tights when you go out.
:thumbsup |
I hate beggars. At one point I considered buying a place in downtown Vancouver, one of the main factors that made me decide against it was the beggars, they are everywhere. I could not imagine being a single female walking around being approached by those scum bags. They need anti-begging laws like the ones we just passed in Dallas.

if you are buying up property all over buy something here and i'll rent it from you...this area is nice |
Going to buy a place for next summer. This is my last summer in the heat I keep telling myself.
Vancouver, maybe Alaska. I want somewhere cool, where I can enjoy the outdoors and of course fish. |
