Anyone own a fullsize jukebox?
 

Looking to buy a new one, and wanted to get some feedback

if my 8' Middle Atlantic audio rack system counts as a jukebox, then yes.

Wurlitzer 1015... plays 78 rpm...

I am looking at the newer cd players, but I have heard some of the new Wurlitzers have "plastic" chrome trim etc which doesn't seem right for the money they want

My brother in law bought a new model on Ebay ( about 8000.00) that plays CD. It has an output also to a sound system. looks good, but yes it has plastic instead of chromed zinc. But it is still very nice.

I also had a Rock-Ola 1442, but I sold it this winter ( one unit is enough..).

We had one that played 45s in the game room when I was a kid. It's kinda fun to shop around for records for it. It's surprising what singles you can find on vinyl.

I'd rather have a cd one though, even if they are made with plastic these days. What isn't?

I looked at wurlitzers (pictures only)

and a used nsm bubbler (cd player) which did have chrome plated steel as opposed to plastic, which the salesman said was better

the funniest thing was, I took my wife to the store, and she really liked it and didn't bat an eye at the price...
this is really bizzare, since I am usually hiding the price tags on my stereo equipment and toys etc :winkwink:

since this was before I told her I was serious about getting one... then it looks like her idea too :D

I gotta finish the renos on the interior of my office (where it will be going) likely this fall, and then I am gonna look to buy one...

hey maybe since it was her Idea, I could buy it for her :winkwink: as a Christmas present...
