What are you reading right now?

Stopped in B&N the other night with some friends and it somehow gave me the urge to start reading more.

Checking out Alice's Adventures in Wonderland right now: http://www.online-literature.com/carroll/alice/

What's your bedtime reading?

LadyMischief 07-14-2003 02:44 PM

I'm currently reading Book 1 of the Tamuli, Domes of Fire by David Eddings. He fucking rules. I've read it before but I could read his books again and again. I think this series is one of my favorites, as well as The Redemption of Althalus by him and his wife... Amazing book.

Very funny too :)

I just started reading "Porno" by Irvine Welsh. It's the sequel to "Trainspotting" which I'm sure most everyone has either read or seen the movie.

:thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup I just finished watching the Samurai Trilogy for the umpteenth time by Hiroshi Inagaki. Musashi is the bomb. Greatest warrior who ever lived, IMHO. I highly recommend "Musashi" by Eiji Yoshikawa if you have not already read that series.

This weeks reads:

From the Fryer to the Fuel Tank, Joshua Tickell
Creation, Hans Schwarz
Cat's Cradle, Kurt Vonnegut Jr.
The Prince, Niccolo Machiavelli

I recently finished Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk, who wrote Fight Club. I definitely recommend it, it was an interesting read. I loved the beginning.

And I just finished My Name is Red by a Turkish writer named Orhan Pamuk. It is set in 16th-century Istanbul and was also a very interesting book but not as easy to get through.

gothweb 07-14-2003 06:02 PM

My last three books were...

"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", J.K. Rowling

"The Weavers of Saramyr" (Book One of the Braided Path) by Chris Wooding

"Polystom" by Adam Roberts

Obsidian Butterfly by Laurell K. Hamilton, for entertainment. Sacred Pleasure: Sex. Myth, and the Politics of the Body by Rianne Eisler, for feeding my brain. C U N T -- a declaration of independence by Inga Muscio for a mixture of both.
