for a new shemale site with 2k softcore shemale pictures and 5 movie plugins, costing me about $1,000/mo for the plugins.

Nothing else. No affilaites, just me promoting it.

What do you think? $7.95/mo fair? too cheap? too high?

no it's quality CD content but not exclusive.
I'd update the images every 2 days or so but the movie plugins update themselves. theres not much to update really.

any recommendations for things I could add that dont cost much are greatly appreciated.

How much joins are you expecting at your current (estimated) membership fees a month is a better question ... do you have your tour online yet??

It sounds to me like you are trying to really budget your first paysite.... maybe you should try an premium AVS to start?

I was thinking of avs but theres so much shit going on with avs and rules changing all the time I figure to skip it.

Right now I send 2-300 signups a month to other sponsors, so I figure I could generate 100 su's/month on my own to start and it should snowball after a few months (i hope lol)

I'm planning on being at a loss for about 4-6 months before I start turning a profit.

My advise would be to keep taking pps or partnership $$$ until you know what's happening with AVS.... a few k pics is to little to start a decent paysite with. And by the time you know what's going to happen to AVS you'll have enough $$$ to invest into more content and start a rocking paysite.

I agree, but I also think that I could be sending traffic to something thats going to grow and snowball in my favor and not some sponsors. I look at the people who make money in this industry and it's from running their own sites and I gotta start sometime.

I hear ya man but 2k SOFTCORE pictures is not the place to start. That's more like the start to a snowflake not a snowball. I know i may be being a bit harsh but its my honest opinion.

If your sending someone else 2-300/joins a month be happy with it and just hold out a little longer to open you site. Whats a month or two? You'll only have more traffic then. :)

not harsh at all and I appreciate hearing from a pro so I don't end up losing my shirt later on. I always want honesty over "tell me what I want to hear support me" bullshit.

as a content maker i can tell you what i know in this area ,
as cute said 2k of soft isnt much of any thing , and really if it is non exclusive content you for the most can bet it is all over the other sites , at best filler content ,
i know me and you talked and you wasnt looking for asian that is all great , but you really need to look for some exclusive or sim exclusve
people are looking for new sets and new faces , and they love hard core ,
i know alot of these guys running some very big lady boy sites and the main thing for the is great updates all the time at least 1 or 2 new sets a week a and more that helps is the exclsuvie ,

remember a plug in is a plug in and that means you are not the only with it so remember again to be dif from all the others it has to be exclusive
the prob lady boy content , if it isnt asian then more then likly it will cost alot as well ....
there is a few new guys making and have some good price , well less then the others .

if you have good trafic i would be driving to another , make some cash there , make your site bigger and then hit it hard ,

Remember this one thing that gets those charge back up fast to a site , a site that has little and the surfer goes to the site thinking he is getting more then he really will ,
and if you have a site that all people have the same stuff and then very little content , trust me you are looking for a high charge back`s

really? I always thought it was more like something you gotta have but no one cares. I hate reading in the screen, and so do most people, so maybe that's why I've that perception, but can you rally tell it for sure?

$17.95 is reasonable for that type of niche.

I'd get a forum setup on there for all the tranny lovers to chat together. Also let your members rate the trannies. Guys like seeing their comments posted for others to see. The interactivity will help your retaintion rate go longer.

Now this is key to making a successful paysite with the small amount of content you have... make it community so people keep coming back to hang out and chat just like here on GFY.

Just make a few usernames as keep on posting and get your members hooked to the "community" they found when joining.
