Spam or business information
With the new CB regs choosing the right content is going to be a number one priority, most CBs are due to the guy feeling ripped off when he saw inside the site, compare to what he signed up for.
Getting fresh content is important, that's what is in the emails. But the important thing is to buy the right and best content. Our company probably shoot more girls than most. One in 10 we shoot is a "A GOOD MODEL" one in 20 is a "WINNER". These are the girls that you need, not just the run of the mill models that fill every site. But the stunners with the edge to turn a free surfer into a member. How to recognise these girls is a skill but it's easily learnt. She is attractive/beautiful, but has a look in her eye saying YES. A way of showing her body and what she is doing, is for herself and the viewer. These are the girls on the Front Covers of magazines, the girls on tours pages, the girls who will turn conversions from 1/100 to 1/20. Every niche has them from Amateur Wives to Playboy Fantasy. Every shooter get's to see one or two of these girls every year, we found three already this year, you need to find one a month. How do you do that? You get on Providers mailing lists and get the updates most send. You don't want to? Fine your competition will. This is a competetive business, and getting more so, all fighting for the surfers attention. Becoming more difficult every day. Because the standards are being raised, all the time. You can spend hours surfing around the Providers, in the hope of finding the girls being delivered to other webmasters email boxes. Hours that could be spent designing, submitting or relaxing. You're an adult webmaster running a site full of porn. Are the Providers update emails Spam or information your business needs to grow? |

Then business information emails work. :1orglaugh |
Come on charly, don't forget the real issue.
Hardcore samples in spam mail. I get plenty of email from my suppliers and the ones I take seriously are the ones that describe what they have and give me a link to check further. They don't send spread eagle gyno shots like the CP spammers do. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I see or hear about that. There are plenty of content providers that are able to keep their clients informed without sending the spread pussy shots as a calling card...and no one is complaining about them. |

yea i get charlys weekly or whatever emails. i dont recall anything to hardcore in them.
what are you referring to up there man? |
and i dont buy much content if any, but who the fuck doesnt enjoy some nudity in there email every few days? specially cute new ones?
and no im not a big fan of charly. just stating it how it is. |
The real reason people get pissed is the existence of the pics in the first place. With the exception of the few high-school kids that do this for beer money, most of us see plenty of this stuff day in and day out and don't need it forced upon us front and center in emails.
You have new stuff, great. Send me an email with a link and I'll look at it if/when I feel like it. If you're already mailing existing customers then they know who you are. You don't need to court them with pussy. :2 cents: |

Charly, I thank you for your update e-mails. They remind me of all the great content that you have that I can't afford. Makes me work harder to try to earn the money. :winkwink:
Seriously, I always look forward to seeing those e-mails, even when I can't buy anything! |

Of course you can always disable HTML in your emial settings. But the content business is simple, it's about volume. You want loads of new sets at competetive prices? Then I can not deleiver this by waiting for you to come around when you feel like it. You could run your paysite the same way, just put it up and wait for them to come. :1orglaugh |

I send out just a newsletter.Means information about new up dates.I send it to customers signed up for newsletter only and its 3 times a month (40 hardcore , 40 softcore , 20 videos).I don't call it spam but maybe some of you guys do.I don't care.
Also its a "service" from you Charly to let your customers know that new stuff is up -no spam.:winkwink: |
I find one thing to be very comon in our member base, dont know if you see the same paul although i suspect you do.
We allow our clients to choose if they would like our newsletter or not when they sign up (about 70-80% choose yes). now the last 20-30% of the signups are just barely passing approval due to either missing or bad information (think about it). If you dont sign up to newsletters and at the same time are an active content buyer, in my mind your a fool, YES you have to look over 20-30 newsletters a week, but if it will help your business and only take 1 hour a week whats the problem? Especially after these new rules are out and more systems demand quality. We often have customers messaging us about how well the new content did for them and this is most of the time stuff that have been out for MONTHS or even longer..... Which they would have known if they were on the newsletter list! Ppl, this business is about naked flesh! There is not one reason why you should not be on the providers email lists Yes we are here to make money, but more importantly I for one want to make sure you damn well get what you need as fast as possible so you make more profit. |
Loch, good point about those that opt not to have the emails. Most of these guys give emails at free hosts and websites they do not own. Guess the reason they don't want porn pictures in an email is because if Mum & Dad find out, they will get grounded. :1orglaugh
