Who protects the protection of the protection? BP4L baby.
I can understand why you would want to preserve the integrity of your own organization, as your role is to protect those that protect, and so on. In order to preserve this integrity it would seem you would need to protect your own interests first, mindful of the gravity of your role in protecting what is most dear to us.
You can not trust an entity to have integrity without accountability -- and I would assume there would be some form of conventions in place in anticipation of the inevitable situation where record keeping practices, etc. would be utilized in a legal context.
