Sponsors sound like the offshore processors a few months back...
There are a few sponsors running around claiming that their rates wont be changing. That's great. But the real question is, for how long? How long will you guys wait until you drop the rates that you have probably already planned dropping? After a whole new slew of webmasters jump on your ship?
Reminds me of the processors a couple months back. Visa sets new rule where companies need to pay a registration fee. Some odd job processor from Estonia says "oh no, we're fine!" Only to report bad news to their clients a couple weeks later. Fuck, some processor just shut down the other day. Feel sorry for those webmasters getting suckered into deception from their processor. Anyway, just another philosophical thread. Whacha think Amp? :winkwink: |
Amp?? Where are ya??:winkwink:
Another bit of philosophy... something I was thinking over a year ago. Apart from all the other changes in this biz, there will be shift to use non-US processors - mainly those in Europe and what you describe as "offshore" processors. Sure, that processor in Estonia may have gone, but I can see some in the more "civilized" world going as well in the not too distant future. Tis a tough game in processing! Sponsors and offshore... well, unless anyone comes up with a clue to the contrary, I'd hedge my bets on running a clean cut offshore operation any day. :winkwink: |
