do you really think there will be better days for this industry ?

I see most webmasters complaining about the new Visa regulations and their impact, but a few people suggest that the new rules will cause that scammers leave the industry, members areas will improve, surfers won't be longer screwed over and in consequence they will join more often and stay longer again...
anyone really believe in this scenario ?

Like all industries this one has now left the wild days of the pioneers and will now become brutally competitive.

Those with good business models will survive, some will be acquired and many will fail.

The only constant is change

chowda 07-11-2003 12:24 PM

i believe this will happen

the big ones will improve on their sites.. keeping their sites low at .something %.

more free porn will be out there to spam since webmasters wont be making as much money like b4

some of the sites that will be past the !% will fuck over webmasters since their money will be frozen. They will open new cc accounts and probably start all over again.

If you are a sharp marketer and can dance around obstacles you will always do well no matter what.

Until the program owners start lowering payouts.

It's all in how you look at things. As a whole, the industry makes less as they are forced to charge less. The generic pay sites will probably not retain as much as niched out sites that update daily.

So, original content will be the key, in my opinion. $19.95 monthly billings, no cross sells. Provide the best service you can and hope you get 3 to 6 months re-occurring.

Give your marketers free content for your program. The old, simple days might be back.

I helped Busty-Amateurs back in the day with this concept and they kicked ass, made a killing.

Anyone want to acquire Busty-Amatuers.com from me? I still own it.

Honest services with lowered pricing, daily updates and big back ends.

I wrote this awhile ago and posted it here, guess I'll do it again:

Everyday a bunch of girls will turn 18 - and be looking for a legal, easy, lucrative, escape from the trailer park, and every day - men will wake up with an erection and need to jerk off. I am just a messenger... as long as everyone is of age, coherent in thier decisions, and obeys all the laws, everything will be OK.

Business has peaked, but there is still more $ to be made here than anything else I can do at the moment.

no, im not getting it from anywhere, but im saying is that i can see that happening. Imagine u forgot u had an account with a paysite.. ur gonna charge it back..

why wouldnt visa take that step to screw us? it will lower chargebacks for sure.

polish_aristocrat 07-11-2003 12:55 PM

if there's a partnership program that has the right conversion & retention and is honest to its members and thus having a low cb rate, I don't see any problems in sending traffic to them...

D$, if I could make millions fishing, I would, trust me. But my business fishing model first requires a nice bass boat, which I am saving my ars points for.
