The sky is falling!

Oh, wait, that's money! I think today's news is great for smaller partnerships programs like mine. I know we too will have to put some thought into how best to compete in this new environment, but I think it's a huge opportunity.

Who's with me?

Spunky 07-10-2003 07:10 PM

What news?

The topic of this thread sums it up pretty well. Seems every 6 months for the past 7 years there is an "end all" to this industry.

Been like that the last 4 years.

High Quality 07-10-2003 07:29 PM

I am with the guy who whores out his girlfriend. Definitely.

gothweb 07-10-2003 07:39 PM

I think this is a time of change. I think some of that change will be a serious challenge for everyone in the industry. I also think that some of the change will provide some people with more opportunities than others. The changes Epoch is talking about today are going to make revshare programs like mine a lot more competitive. It's nice to see the godo news every now and then... The sky isn't always falling.

Was that directed at me? If so, I'd like you to explain yourself. One thing I take very seriously are personal attacks that bring my girlfriend into things. Saying something like that in a thread like this is totally off the mark.

Brown Bear 07-10-2003 07:42 PM

Revshare has definitely got a boost from this.

Rico 07-10-2003 07:42 PM

I agree.
Smaller niche exclusive sites are WAY under the 1% if run correctly.

Looks like things are getting better for an allready kick ass business! :)

1% chargeback limits on Visa and Mastercard leading billers to set policies that will make per-signup sponsors less profitable.

Though I am having a hard time discussing anything but whether or not High Quality was calling my girlfriend a Whore.

You really need a vacation!

Right on man!! We are with ya!!

This will sure be a huge help for us guys whos charge back ratios are non-existent.

Should be interesting to see how this plays out and if it indeed levels the palying field a bit.

gothweb 07-10-2003 08:17 PM

There is one kind of attack that I take seriously on this board, and this guy went there. I'm sorry, but I won't be letting this drop.

And someone who sells actual whores on his site should really not get involved in this one.

Money doesnt just evaporate it just shifts from one group to another. There is nothing that is globally bad, well except for maybe nuclear fallout the world over, otherwise someone will always making cash on any kind of change in anything. Just go with the flow :thumbsup

I am just glad that the latest change seems to be in my favour.
