Gunna test drive one tomorrow... anyone got any recs / opinions of this car?

they are pretty sweet... allways planned on getting a 300z with twin turbos... but the Z's are even better.... all I can say is get a black one.

i have a friend who had 2001 porsche carrera he sold that after he test drove the z and swears that its the best car he has ever driven

i don't like ricerockets, but i like that one :)

I'll prolly go for the "enthusiast" version of it. 287HP for $28k or less. Pretty phatty.

i drove one the other day. i was thinking about getting it. it is a two seater. yay! pfft. it really is not that fast. i have to say that i was not impressed by it.

Then again, they are totally different cars with totally different handling characteristics... get your arse to your local Barnes & Noble and look for "Evo", "Top Gear" and "Car" magazines - there all British magazines, and are far better than any US equivalent. For some reason I've never read a US car magazine that gives a poor review of a car - perhaps because they don't want to piss of their advertisers?

Thanks for the link. I used to drive a 93 supra back in HS. That was fun. In 10 years I would hope that this car can out handle it and out accelerate it. That car was a blast, just lookin to equal or better it. :thumbsup

I remember reading a review in a British car magazine of a Neon S-RT or something similar. They summed it up by saying "This is the best Neon ever. It's still utter shite though...". Don't think I'll ever see a review like that is a US car magazine...

Something else to think about - are you interested in the 350z as a pure "drivers" car, or are you after some practicality as well? If it's the latter, the 350z is a great choice. If it's the former, and you don't mind waiting for a year, get one of these:

that new elise is only 90k

when you see it in person, its a little small looking though, but still is the obtainable dream car.

LEXUS makes the same design that looks 20 times better. But the LEXUS has more horse power and is rear wheel drive. Both great cars though

buy a z06 50k, take it to lingenfelter get a 427 twin turbo kit put on it for another 50k. That will make you the fastest kid on your block. with a 9 second car..

Convertible looks nice with top down, dissappointed that nissan did not make it a hardtop convertible. Would have been much nicer.
