I bought a cool hardcover with all the books in it. I've also heard the BBC radio version. It's a decent production.

better than the tv series imo, and goes beyond "the restaurant at the end of the universe" of same.

anyone else here think the person responsible for casting that little over-acting dork for the role of ford prefect in the TV series should have been shot?

i'm definitely a fan. i have all the books, and recently picked up the tv episodes dvd...

yep.. just bought "the salmon of doubt" too. Interesting for what it is, eulogistic - stories of adam's life, interviews etc and a few chapters of an unfinished book.

Douglas Adams' explanations for the origins of the earth and the human race are frighteningly, hilariously plausible.

I got all of "The Lexx" on DVD's great series.

Still need Red Dwarf on DVD, maybe that will happen soon.

when i was younger and would go on family camping trips we would always listen to HH guide on audio tape on the way up. PBS also made a mini series a few years back based on it. it's a great story! i wish a big film company would pick it up and put some money behind it. make it a trilogy or something.
