TGP VIP party for summer internext cancelled.
 

sorry folks, won't be holding a big TGP VIP party this time in flordia.


we had a few ideas and they all fell through at the last min. the first was the jai-alai games. Unique to southern florida but when we checked out the closest place they had this great lounge that overlooked the games but they refused to let us reserve the lounge and told us we've have to use some skumy banquete room in the back. it wasn't nice so we passed on the idea.

Then we looked into a cool bar that we had to go by water taxi to and all was looking well till they came back to us and said they wanted $50K for it. We're TGPers for christs sake, big macs are a stretch, $50k is outa line.

A couple of other places we looked into were already booked, cause now we're late looking for a place.....

Now it's last min and we don't really want to do the boat again. Talked to a lot of regulars and the heat and humidity of flordia is a bit psycho this time of year so many people who we wanted there arn't going. Weather reports say there's a HIGh chance of a lot of rain - which rules out most outside places. In the end we decided to just skip the party this internext and hold an awesome one in Vegas next Jan.

Thank you to the 25+ people who offered to help with sponsership of the event. It's nice to see soo many people in this industry willing to any up with their wallets when it counts.
I really appreciate the offers.

My intention this time is just to HAVE FUN. I hope you all are able to do the same. See you all in florida!

The TGP Party is always one of the largest and most productive gatherings. Are you still going to internext?

There was already a 75% chance I was going to miss this Summer's internext, now the percentage just shot up a few more points. Our new home is just about built and the closing date is literally days before internext with our move in date during internext.

IF I miss this one, it will be the first internext in many years Ill miss.

Sucks.

Like you I will just have to make up for it in Vegas.

The Boneprone Family will still represent in Florida.

ohhh geee - I've been insulted by brad shaw. whatever will I do now..............

in south florida in the summer it usually always rains at 4pm... you have to get up early to enjoy it -- then the winds pick up around 4pm you have a big storm for an hour, it rains for 10 minutes -- then it's clear again... almost like clockwork.
