- Best US City to live -

Hello,

iīve won a visa and now have to decide till december where i want to spent the next years in the states! But i didnīt have any clue about the situtation (jobs/housing) in the different areas overthere.... :(
i can only say what is important for me..

-sunny weahter
-no snow during the winter month! :warning
-warm climate during the year
-possibilities for outgoing every day / partying / metting new people (chicks)
:)

If you have any clue what city/region is good in the above points or if you can warn me about any specific area just post it..

Sounds like someone would find themselves right at home in Florida. I suggest Orlando...from personal experience.

orlando can be kind of expensive and way too much traffic, just depends on if you're looking for cheap or if you have plenty of money... Cocoa Beach isn't bad, you can find some pretty good deals on rent... last place I had up there was $500 and month for a 2 bedroom apt 2 blocks from the beach.. But there really isn't much for good jobs around there... FL sucks in general for wages.

Bulldog-Johnnie 07-08-2003 07:56 AM

Tampa Bay- Cheap, warm, hot womens, lots to do.

ADL Colin 07-08-2003 08:07 AM

Miami.

I've lived in Tampa area, Cocoa Beach, and Orlando BTW. Went to high school in Cocoa Beach, lived in Orlando until 2000 and then moved to Sarasota, South of Tampa. Moved to my favorite city; Miami.

San Fran area is pretty sweet. I also like the big east coast cities; Washington DC, Boston, New York.

Like Chicago.

Didn't care for the American South West all that much. Vegas is pretty bizarre though.

TurboAngel 07-08-2003 08:12 AM

I am in N.J. You don't want to come here! Cost of living is high and we have snow! Anthing below V.A. is o.k.

:2 cents:

Snow sucks. I can't stand winter.

american pervert 07-08-2003 08:17 AM

l.a. best weather in the usa...

fla and chicago are way to humid.... and fla has too many old ppl, rains too much, and too many storms
chicago snows and it bitter in the winter and horrible in the summer

Tera 07-08-2003 08:25 AM

San Diego or right around that area, sounds like what your looking for, northern california is nice too, around San Fran but that is really expensive and the housing situation sucks. I would go to San Diego!!!

Yes i agree totally! In winter almost everyone gets depressive and i just hate the cold air on my skin when i get out..
In Berlin the winter is like in the deepest russia! :helpme

Anyway, thanks alot for all your posts and suggestions! I think this coca beach sound nice bc first of the cheap housing.

Does anyone has experiences with arizona/texas and cities like phoenix, houston or san antonio?
i know a girl from there (i-net chat relationship :Graucho ) but i donīt want to get fooled and move blind to her in houston and then wake up surrounded by texas rednecks! :pimp :ak47:

playa 07-08-2003 08:26 AM

I lived in Phoenix but didn't like it too much. That was a while ago though. I don't like the desert climate and that is the real issue. The Bottos are out there. They must like it. ;-)

Ahhh, yeah. If you are looking for cheap and tropical, Cocoa Beach is a good call. It's a pretty small town. You might also try the Sarasota area or some of the surrounding smaller towns. Sarasota is a sweet little town and you could probably find something reasonably priced in that area.

I prefer the West Coast of Florida until you get South of West Palm and then the East coast rules.

ADL Colin 07-08-2003 08:36 AM

Playa,

Atlanta's Six Flags rules. We took a trip up there a few years ago just for that.

rooster 07-08-2003 08:36 AM

South. California is nice but too expensive, and the state of california rapes you every chance they get.

I say Florida. Its sorta similar to south california only more humid, more rain, but on the other hand better winter weather and a hell of alot cheaper.

L.A. is the best agreed.....

Kapitan Ivanov 07-08-2003 08:40 AM

Sydney.

Mojo Rizin 07-08-2003 08:49 AM

If you are thinking of moving to Phoenix I suggest you do it in the summer time.. If you can deal with it during the summer the rest of the year is gravy.

Pornwolf 07-08-2003 10:03 AM

Miami, Austin or San Diego.

AEBN_Matt 07-08-2003 10:11 AM

If you like Big Cities, consider Miami, but I'll tell you Wilmington, North Carolina or Charlestion, South Carolina are smaller but have great character and incredible southern women.

Vegas baby Vegas :thumbsup
