Paysite owners... what's the closest distance a member lives?
 

Mine is 4 blocks.

a few people in my apt building have mentioned my site with out knowing that i own it -

but aside from that - the member who lived the closest to my apt - is 4 blocks north of me.

pretty funny stuff. I haven't checked into addresses in months - but i'll bet that one still stands.

I recently had a guy sign up that is 4 miles from me.. store owner.. just for shits and giggles I'm going to go down tomorrow wearing a wow18.com t-shirt.

I have one member that lives right next door. We moved in to our current place 5 years ago. He was a member a year prior. He only told me about it 6 months ago. His wife didn't know he was a member, but she did want to get a petition up to make us move :1orglaugh

We're sort of friends now.

I have 4 other people on my street that have been members (that I know of), and many, many more in our community that still are members.

Damn. that didn't take long to one up me =) I figured somebody big might come through and trump me.

And a funny story. but did you ever have an Arch Diocese (sp?) ?

Back in May 1999 (in fact, the same day the WebExpo started), I made the front page of the local newspaper because of a lawsuit. It must have been a slow news day!

A girl we shot a video with back in 1995 tried to sue me for more money. The papers were filed, and the local news picked up on it. Porn is sensational! They used our real names, and even our address, in the article. Luckily they also put in my URL :)

That outed me in Montreal, and I guess the neighbourhood got curious. The day the story hit, I got close to 500 sign-ups, all in the Montreal area!

All I can say to that is Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

we took a member on one of our shoots. we found out that he lived close and he had been a member for 5 months so we brought him on one for the hell of it. his head was red as a beet and he was sweating bullets all day. finally while chatting about pulp fiction he offered me some coke. it was a rather weird day. i had to say no to the pepsi challenge that afternoon. :1orglaugh

I've got a guy one street over who buys mail-order videos from me.

Quite some time ago.. in 1997 i guess, I discovered a member was next door to my parents house. Funny thing is.. he was Pastor of the Church at the end of the street:-)

I have had a few members who are local, including some who were on the same local mailing lists with me, and some who I know. I've learned not to mention to them that I know who signs up, they get embarassed.
