Traffic Trade no cookie question..
Anyone know why you don't want to send all no cookie traffic to trades? There was a reason but I can't remember what.

Probably scripts will count that traffic as no referrer,so your site will not count any traffic and will be dropped .And AOL and bot traffic are also considered no cookie
|
Most trade scripts use cookies to track which trade the surfer came from, so if they have cookies disabled then the trade doesn't get credit for the clicks.
And spunky1 is wrong, a surfer with cookies disabled can still present a valid referer. :) If you send a no cookie surfer to a trade you will be credited for the hit in, but your prod on their end will fall as none of the clicks are tracked. |

If you have a "trade traffic" account with any firm.
Then most likely in that account you have listed your URL. The referring URL can be looked up - and any cookie information retrieved. If they are not tracking ALL of your hits at their end it is because they choose not to - because the programming to do this database lookup - is not that hard. I would suggest you track and test every pop-up, every link on every page - right to the transaction process form. I have been "ripped off" on traffic - countless times ... I have to go to work ...time to shave ...lol |
