Buddy Ebsen dead at 95
 

Good old Jed Clampett died this morning. RIP Buddy. Of course he was Barnaby Jones, but his role as Uncle Jed was the bomb.

He did? Awww crap.

Barry White was too young to go at 58, too.

Damn, Hollywood has lost some good ones in the past few days...and Barry White was one to be missed as well.:(

And among Canadian viewers too. The Beverly Hillbillies was and still is a much-loved show here by many Canukleheads.


I also remember him playing "Uncle Roy" on that 80's cop show "Matt Houston".

Billions of people that were entertained by his TV shows since they were little kids. And that is a CAPITAL B.

Buddy Ebsen trivia - Ebsen was the original Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz. The metallic paint they used on him made him sick and he couldn't continue so they had to recast the role with Jack Hailey.

More trivia, Disney animators filmed his dancing in front of a grid as a model for a dancing Mickey Mouse in the Silly Symphony cartoons.

I'm old too. I remember him as Fess Parker's "buddy" on Davey Crockett.

he was definately a hoofer in his day. he could dance up a storm. and then he reinvented himself as an actor .....

like katherine hepburn, he was around forever... RIP
