Buddy Ebsen dead at 95
Good old Jed Clampett died this morning. RIP Buddy. Of course he was Barnaby Jones, but his role as Uncle Jed was the bomb.
|
He did? Awww crap.
Barry White was too young to go at 58, too. (Edit: Link http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,91197,00.html) Steve |
i honestly thought he was older than 95.
|
I heard that his new movie was just about done too
The Beverly Hillbillies In Space Episode 5: Return Of The Jed |

with that attitude, I would imagine more than will care about when you go. He was a tv icon in the states. R.I.P. |

I also remember him playing "Uncle Roy" on that 80's cop show "Matt Houston". |

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee doggies!
i'm actually surprised he was only 95. He seemed pretty old in the 70's. Buddy Ebsen trivia - Ebsen was the original Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz. The metallic paint they used on him made him sick and he couldn't continue so they had to recast the role with Jack Hailey. man we are losing a ton of celebrities lately. |
I used to love the Beverley Hillbillies.
More trivia, Disney animators filmed his dancing in front of a grid as a model for a dancing Mickey Mouse in the Silly Symphony cartoons. |
I'm old too. I remember him as Fess Parker's "buddy" on Davey Crockett.
|
he was definately a hoofer in his day. he could dance up a storm. and then he reinvented himself as an actor .....
like katherine hepburn, he was around forever... RIP |
