Whats the cheapest major city to live in?

I mean mid to large scale city.

I'm guessing St. Louis.

You also have to look at if they feel about adult. Like Atlanta is not too expensive and they dont care about adult for the most part.

pattaya is the cheapest, but it isnt a 'big' city.. it's about as big as daytona beach, FL...

bangkok is one of the cheapest in the world, and a huge city...

chiang mai is cheap too and a pretty big city, but theres absolutely nothing to do there....

KRL 07-06-2003 11:53 AM

Atlanta. A few cities in Florida still give you nice value. Philly is reasonable.

I lived in the Atlanta area almost all my life (born and rasied) and they are REALLY expensive. I mean, almost as expensive as NYC or something(well not quite, but it's REALLY expensive), it's crazy... unless you want to live in a slum, then you can get cheap rent or something.

Little Rock is definately a very inexpensive major city and the traffic is SO light in comparison to other cities, yet it has every major big city convenience. It's VERY nice. Also, they have strip clubs, adult toy stores and adult arcades, so the adult thing is okay. It is the nicest city I have ever visited and the least expensive, too. Looking through an apartment guide, I see 4 bedroom upscale apartments for $900 to $1100 a month. In Atlanta something like this would be $1800 to $2000 (in the suburbs) and around $4000 in the city. You can get a really nice 1 bedroom apartment (sometimes with utilities included) for $500 to $600 and there is a bus system if you need it.

Boulder, Colorado is another big city that is relatively inexpensive, but it gets cold in the winter. Really cold. Just make sure you can afford heat. :)

i'm actually going to pattaya this weekend with some friends... that place is fucking paradise..... fast motorcycles, along the beach, dark skinend thai girls walking around half naked, if you dont wanna waste your time lookin for a free one, 12$ will get you a quickie (90 minutes of sex), 8$ will get ya a BJ, and 15-25$ will get you a GF for 24 hours =) ahhhhh shit... its only monday now... grrrrrrr 4.34 more days

Orlando was a great town to live in. I'd be there now if my girl didn't hate constant heat. It's not as bad as she thinks...but I'm still unable to convince her.

Anyhow...there's a ton of shit to do. You're less than an hour from one of the greatest beaches in the world...Daytona. Hot chicks for sure. Cost of living was fairly low... but I was living in NYC before that, so my view there may have been skewed a bit. Housing as dirt cheap compared again...I went from paying $1500 a month for a studio, to renting a 3 bedroom house for the same price. You don't pay income tax to the state. Gas and smokes were cheaper too. Everything was.

Orlando gets :thumbsup :thumbsup from me

Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
When you make USD and and everything you pay (food/bills/rent) is in canadian, that is like making roughly 30% more than you make now, or things cost 30% less.
