Can I have 2 members areas reading 1 password file?
 

I have two members areas on two different domains and I would like them both to read one htpassword file on one of the domains. Is this possible? I can't figure out a way of doing it.

buy a third domain and have the members section there, then just carry your tours on the domains they are currently on

If the 2 domains are on the same server, you can have them both read from the same password file. But you can not have a sinlge protected directory read from 2 seperate password files.

In the .htaccess file you place in the directory, just set both domains to look in the same place for their passwords file.

Sure it's possible. I have 8 pay sites sharing one password file. All sites are on the same server and I use AC Pay and Globill. For my sites security I use strong box.

All you do is in the login script for each site make sure the path to the password file is the same. For example

/home/myserver/mydomain/myonepasswordfile/mypasswordfilename
