A message to all MAC/APPLE HATERS !!!
... I used to be the biggest hater of apple myself, funny though because I have never ever used one!!
... LOL !! ... anyway, I bought my girfriend a 12" powerbook ... and let me tell you one thing: that powerbooks is some kickass thing. I like the OS, I like the speed and I like the stability of the system, all in all ... fucking amazing. I am going to get myself a G5 now, face it ... once you´ve tried a MAC you´ll never go back .. because it´s simply the best there is !!! |
noooooooooooooooooooooo

Once you suck my big beef girls never go back
|
Most who hate haven't spent much time on them. :thumbsup

Since going switching to BSD for the groundwork Im quite fond of Apple myself, although I dont use it. Im just too ingrained with my current desktop setup I guess, but if I were starting over I would definitely give mac's a look. Although their servers are still very gay and useless, but then again :)

Mac is great if you don't like mysterious crashes and bugs. :winkwink:
|
yes welcome to the dark side

Every fucking morning I email Bill Gates and fucking thank him. Microsoft might not have been to first to create the GUI, but it's the one that most of our surfers use to access PORN. Thank you MS. |

I for one love the Mac , i am not too happy with the new OS 10 in all its incarnations. But for me PCs are full of problems and so slow to use. But thats just my opinion.

OS X kicks ass.

1 week ago i started working on macs for 2 magazines here and it kicks ass. everything about it kicks ass mostly if you work with images. photoshop rules on mac. i did not learned too much about the os (details i mean) (by the way, installing a program its the same thing like windows? just klick on the executable file *.sit?) :Graucho

on big images like from 20mb and up? heh! When you work photoshop with keyboard shortcuts and give the commands fast, the difference its huge. the working speed on big images its much bigger on macs than pcs. at least from my experience and i got some :)

Actually, that was just released today...and it means your system security is shit. But whats more interesting is what other holes they are going to find..... If a simple overflow hole exists in the Screensaver password lock...what else could be open? hummm? |
Ok, it might be great, it's OS might be superior, Steve Jobs might be a good guy...
But as long as I cannot be able to run more than half of my software on it, it's just a useles junk for me :glugglug |

There are OSX or unix equiv's of damn near everything. You should keep a cheap PC gamer/whatever box on the side anyway. Macs are ++ Just too damn expensive :( |
It's always Windows versus Mac. It's been a longtime since a new desktop operating system came around that anyone cared about. When will Linux desktops start to become popular with normal users? Ever?

Does the macs have following? It doesn't last time I've checked.. 3D Studio Max, XSI, Digital Fusion, Combustion, Boujou, PHPEd, Matchmover, Stitcher, Image modeller, Toonz, GigaStudio, etc. I'm not even including tons of utilites which exist only for windows.. That list may go very long but that's not my intension.. Also I'm not a very big fan of microsoft & that gates guy. But as long as the software support stays superior, windows will rule the world even though it sucks as a OS. But if you are limited to web or desktop publishing work you might enjoy a mac for sure.. |
PC's for databases.
Macs for creative. |

But after that point it's really hard for it get on top of windows. For sure it's much better than it, but to reach normal people it lacks of one thing.. As much money as microsoft to promote it. It would be great if I can see that one day.. |

As for system security being shit, because a screensaver can be hacked, what does that mean really? |

OSX Board
Need some help with OSX? I used to spend hours a week on this board trying to get our 150 Macs to work right on a mixed network, this was a huge publishing company and the boss man could not take them any more they all got replaced by $799.00 Dell's. The issue with Macs is if they are stand alone, or in their own workgroup they do ok, put them in a mixed environment and you are doomed. Here's one more nice bug Macs have, Cisco will not support any Cisco hardware including Switches, Routers, and Firewalls were a Mac is involved, and considering most networks run on Cisco it makes you wonder? We had all our servers and desktops on gig cards on the network we had to keep the Macs segmented off on a 10 mb hubs, anything faster the Macs would chatter so bad they would bring the network down, I could go on for hours on how bad they suck in the corporate world. |
