I'm not a huge fan of Canada...... But being 8th out of 175 countries is impressive.

I'm sorry.... Looks like Canada was 3rd....

Even still, its been such a matter of pride to Canadians, this UN ranking. ANY argument about Canada ALWAYS had the UN stats thrown in eventually.

Well my life is over now..

According to the CBC things are basically the same as when we were in first place, the UN just changed how they measure and rank things.

I guess bearing the slip in mind it will make it harder to justify taxing productive citizens at %50 when there is not much of anything to show for it anymore.

I'm a little fuzzy on that... but is that basically saying that because we have so much diversity in cultures and races and stuff, that we get penalized in our ranking?

I think it is more important who are the "worst" ten on the list rather then the "best" ten that shuffle around a bit from year to year.

IMO - who cares if Canada moves up or down a few notches.
