I look at the internet now, compared to the internet a few years ago, and I feel "disgusted"

nowhere can you go without getting a billion popups
nowhere can you go that you wont be redirected to a porn site
EVERY SINGLE THING YOU SEARCH nowadays leads to a goddamn porn site!

personally, I would NOT want my future kids to be surfing the internet! I would be scared, because I KNOW whats out there!

not only that, its getting worse and worse! now your average teenager is a HTML pro trying to make his warez and porn websites to make a bit of cash!

the more time is passing, the more I feel that the internet is an unsafe and dirty place for the children and teens.

50 years ago, if they knew what thongs were and that 10 year old girls would be wearing them to school, I'd bet that they wouldn't want their "kids" growing up in a time like that.
Same thing goes for the internet... Kids will get used to porn popups everywhere and be HTML geniuses. big deal.
Future kids will be fine, even though they won't be walking 4987243 miles in 18 feet of snow one way to school and won't have as much respect as we once did to our elders.:2 cents:

I don't know about it man. I once caught my sister surfing a porn site, but I think the chance for children to get there isn't that big unless they're interested, or they're pussycat fanatics. I don't think every search leads to a porn site, and I even think less people are interested in porn nowadays. porn was once the 'motor' to start it all up, which it still is, but more and more room becomes available (when using broadband) for other applications.

btw I wouldn't want my kids to surf around either, but I don't think that has been different years ago.

on cable television, the only way to watch porn is if you stay up really late and watch TV

what parent would let his kid watch television at 1am?

but on the internet, its just like switching channels on the remote control, your look @ random chanels, but 1/3rd of those channels are porn sites.

Mother once caught me surfing porn sites and she paddled my ass raw with the spatula. Now I make sure I cover my tracks and keep all my x-rated material encrypted on my second drive. :winkwink:

so what ? its not like porn is lethal or anything.. popups stink tho.. and will eventually burn out, in awhile everyone will be used to them and close the windows before they can even initiate the html code.

There was plenty of porn on the Internet a few years ago. This is nothing new. The more the government gets involved the worse it will be. You think porn is ruining the internet? Wrong. If anything can ruin the internet, legislation will ruin the internet, not porn.

call me fucked up but my kids will never, ever, have internet not available to them if they want it. The Internet is a place for curiosity and knowledge and both should be freely pursued with without restrictions
