It's been happening to me too dude... last night and today. I just wait 10 mins and it works again.

Freaked me out at first too.. .dunno, I think they're screwin with stuff on their servers or something.

Happened to me this morning too. I just clicked the "close" (X) on the password prompt, then I clicked on "Status" and clicked "Available/Connect" and it worked.

ok it looks like i'm back in... but now i'm wondering how you change the password anyway... i had so many viruses on my computer before -- that's the reason I was in panic...

On mine it's:

Main>>> Security & Privacy >>> Password >>> enter new password

I haven't been able to use my ICQ for 2 days now - I am also using Trillian. I signed up for a new ICQ number and it appears to be working ok. I will continue to try to get my old one to work - what the fuck???

yesterday it was asking my password as well
i restarted it and it worked fine

Me too, yesturday and today as well. Funny thing is it happends on one machine not the other.

i've got icq 2000a. mine's been doing it too. won't recognize my password. i just unchecked the 'remember password' box and type the fucker in. works fine now.

shout down the process

start icq
