If your sending the traffic to an affiliate program your only getting 30 to 40 dollars per join. Maybe you end up making 5 to 6 cents per click. If you can sell that same traffic to the same affiliate program for 7 or 8 cents per click and both parties are better off.
First off the program/site owner makes money in several different ways in addition to locking themselves in to a guaranteed amount of traffic that the site owner has control over, not the affiliate. The site owners make money on cross sales, exits, rebills, upsales, email addresses etc, etc.
For the traffic seller. This alows him/her to make slightly more money off of his traffic than he would just sending to a program. It is also upfront money. This helps cash flow. You don't have to wait a month to get your check. People have been buying and selling traffic everyday in this business and will continue to do so. Just because you have great traffic and plenty of it doesn't mean your maximizing it by just sending it to an affiliate program. There is always risk in buying online advertisements. However if you can find a good reputable source money can be made and plenty of it.
We have plenty of customers that have been buying traffic from us for over a year and longer. I know they make good money off of our traffic because they come back and buy month after month.
