AC Pay to stop processing sites with word 'young' in title!
 

Dear AC Pay client,

We've started receiving news that the banks may have serious issues with the use of the word "young" (and related words) in site titles. As a result, after careful consideration, we've decided to stop processing for sites containing variations of the word to protect ourselves and our clients. Since you run a site with the word "young" in the title, this is understandably big news for you, as you've undoubtedly spent a lot of time and money on the domain, SE optimization and traffic purchases. We will not be taking any action this weekend, certainly, and we'll be able to give you a grace period during the beginning of next week, but to continue processing, we'll need you to register a different site title and domain.

Our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience.

Why go to the hassle of making laws for censorship and possibly not get them through congress when you can have some words in CC companies ears and get them to do it for you :)

This is weird. Pre-emptive censorship by the billers... Some of them seem to be struggling to stay ahead of the curve. Is tha a good thing, or are they responding to rumours in a way that damages their clients' business?

This is exactly as I called it not long ago. I told everyone to refuse to pay VISA extortion money because it was just the begining of the fucking that you would end up with. They are going to start to clamp down on things one and two at a time that they say are questionable and then you'll end up with nothing before long and if you don't like that, they'll just totally stop processing your shit.

If just a few people do it then you're right, but no one is willing to give it a try in mass right now, but they will when it gets to the point where you can process anything that is adult related. So here's to hoping that it doesn't get to that point since so many of you have already paid your extortion money.

I didn't pay no extortion $750. Went with offshore and euro billers though the censorship thing is probably more a fear about government prosecutions and not soo much bank related.

i think all the billers see Bush gettingi n for a nother 4 years and this time A-s-s-c-r-o-f-t is gonna go ballistic agiant porn, attacking from the "underage" angle as that will get the most likely successful prosecutions. Billers are probably cleaning up their portofolios as much as possible

I can in some regard understand teen I even might understand girl but young is really in the eye of the beholder. For me in the 30's everyone below 30 is young for others I am still young so this is pure bullshit.

teen = someone between 10 and 20 and therefore a teen can be legal
girl = young woman. Might be more questionable than teen even

I have to say every biller who generalizes certain words and ban them is not worth to get any business.

I love CCBill in this regard. They actually go to a site and check what is there before they do anything.

they should at least look at each domain and site with the word in it. What if someone owned younggrammas.com lol

Well since Youngporn.net is not using ACpay as 3rd party biller, this is not affecting Youngporn.

CCbill is in that way a great company(as most proberly already know) they want in your memberarea, view your tours, and approve it after they are sure you are 100% legal.

Since CCbill didn't make a statement over the word young in a domain, I presume they keep billing those sites....

Pls don't scare ppl with this statement, when you are not 100% sure....(and you are wrong, since this rule will not affect youngporn at all, because they don't use ACpay, and this is not a rule at all ISPS)

At least by now ,over the word young , we havent got any statement from our billing providers, in case we will well we gonna follow the rules for sure. I will watch for it :eyecrazy

If youngporn.net doesn't process with AC Pay - clearly until it's particular biller has a problem with the word 'young' - then it's ok.

I took his question to be, that it was *his* site - he processes with AC Pay - and would he have a problem?

I have no interest in going through the site to see who the actual processor was.

There is a very simple work around.

Wierd there is no talk of this any where else, not even an announcement on the AC Pay bbs.
