Can you do this with vegas video 4?
 

I'm trying it out now, pretty cool so far.

Now I just want to take a big 16 meg .wmv file and cut it up into even 500 kb (or so) clips, so I can have 32 even clips that are all around 500 megs.

Is there an automatic wat to do this with vegas video 4?

We use vegas video to make an uncompressed avi. Or cut up avi's.

Then we use cleaner xl to encode anything we want at any speed we want and at as much formats as we want.

Cleaner XL is like "Set it... and forget it!"
