Hey looking for a good dedicated server setup, no I dont want to buy one from a host, I have a datacenter Ill be sticking it inot...



Anyone know anyplace that you can actually buy a premade server to your stats and have it sent to you?

no they don´t ... I bought 3 PC´s of them about 2 years ago ... the only thing that is still working is one of the monitors ... everything else just died ... stay away !

look for some supermicro.com reseller ... those servers rock !!

since you are such a genius.. why not build one yourself...???? that way you'd have the best box possible for the datacenter you plan to host in...

Used both brands of 1/2U boxes no problems. *knock on wood*

Just bought 2 : one 1U and the other a 2U casing. Dual P3 x 1ghz, 1 gig ECC, scsi, etc...

Very cheap on EBAY !

Stick with the rack formats if you are looking to do colo... Most of them only accepts 1U & 2U.

I've gotten good prices on machines that were screwdrivered together by http://online-spectrum.com

Same components I would have used if I was building it, everything neatly tied down and burnt in.
