yeah I probably already know... my brother sells them as well... never had any problems with fords before... I love it!!

I have a Panasonic mp3 player and 8 disk cd changer and Xtant sound system. Soon I will have the K&N air system and Gibson exhaust... just to name a few

nerf bars is optional... I actually hate the bed caps... I will have the diamond plate caps and full front and tailgate diamond plates. Only bedliner I will get is the Line-X spray.

i actually thought about buying one while i got all hyped with working in the dealership. they're fairly comparable to the s-10s. like to see a little more power out of them, but they drive fairly nice.

i'm still curious how or why you got an fx4 without nerf bars.. did you not get the tow package either? most dealers i've been around stock the fx4's all loaded. hell, that's almost all we had. and we carried a ton of them when i was there.

I thought I was the only one thinking that even though I can afford the much more expensive rides, I just dont see the point in them anymore.

Lately all I care about in a vehicle is that its in good shape, clean, has a back seat for my kid, has a good stereo, and is still under warranty. And most of all, paid for. Not costing me monthly.

I got rid of my gas guzzler, 6200 pound, wont fit in my garage H2. It wouldnt fit in most of the parking garages on the strip either. Also, there are alot of H2's running around vegas, its not near as rare as where I moved from.

Now I'm driving a '03 MazdaSpeed Protege Turbo... Its only a $20k car, but its relatively quick, handles great, has a 450watt stereo, a backseat, and a 5 year warranty. Only 1750 were sold in the states so its not likely to be seen on every street corner.

My wife thought I lost my mind, but the car is fun to drive and I like it. I'm gonna buy a Jeep Wrangler so I'll still have something to go offroad with, and I'm still money ahead over what the H2 cost.

Are you talking about HEMIs? They're technically not new, seeing as how they were around in the muscle car era.

Rumor has it that the government told them that they had to pull them because the cars were too fast w/ them in, not surprising seeing that the hemispherical combustion chamber made them the first engine to put out 1 HP per CID but they probably just went away due to the increase of gas price and subsequent decline in muscle car popularity.

Or are you talking about their diesel engines? Cause their Banks turbos haven't really changed in the last 10 years and in that case yes, Ford/International/Cat's Power Stroke diesel's blow them away, especcially the newest ones without a camshaft and hydraulic injectors that open the valves instead of a camshaft each individually controlled and timed by the computer...

For you guys saying it has no power I think you are wrong. for a V6 it has 220 horse stock. I cant wait until I get the exhaust and K&N air system, that should add some extra horse for me!

Here's my 02 Ranger that my son wrecked when it was 4 months old. You can't tell, but from the front bumper to the rear bumper he nailed every single panel - including one of the rims. :feels-hot $4K in damage which he's paying for out of his pocket. :thumbsup

I'm either going to sell it to him in a couple of years or trade it in for an F150 - it doesn't have the power I need to get around these hills. It's a V6 but no 4X4. I needed a 2nd car to haul crap around with, but if I can't get it up and down my driveway when it's loaded, it doesn't do me much good. :(

I gotta say, I love Chevy's. I got a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500. Better than Fords. Plus the sales reps actually walk up to you on the Chevy lots. :1orglaugh I went to a couple Ford dealerships and nobody came to me, probably because I looked like a punk with blue & red hair! :1orglaugh FORD SUCKS!

It's actually a street, but I'm the only one that lives on it - wonder why....And if you guys REALLY want a trucks, get one like Wig with achdebit has - F350 4X4 diesel with dualies!

There's actually a big difference between the Mountianeers and Explorers - you can't get a Mountianeer with 4WD, only AWD which means you have no 4WD low. I wanted a Mountaineer because of the nicer materials and colors (IMHO) and longer warranty, but I have to have 4WD low. :(

A better comparison would be the Mazda Tribute and the Ford Escape. :)
