Just wanted to post my first topic, and pick some brains if ya'll don't mind.

I've been researching this biz for a few weeks now (This board and various links thrown out have been extremely helpful). I went from not knowing jack squat...to having at least a better understanding of how this biz can be fun, but a lot of hard; dedicated work in the meantime (that wasn't my initial perception).

Anyway, I am trying to figure out what would be the most logical steps to get something off the ground. Please offer some comments about my initial plan:

1. Bought the domain name (pretty obvious 1st step)
2. Made a mock-up design (posted below)
3. I was planning on building a paysite, but this is where I am not exactly sure if I would be going about this the right way.
4. I was planning on buying content from the various providers, then signing up with an affiliate or two (AdultPlat :winkwink: ) then I was planning on saturating TGPs with galleries and hoping to convert at least well enough to be able to purchase more & more content until I have enough to start making a paysite.
5. In the process, I will also see what I can do to land some custom shoots for some REAL exclusive material.
6. But, I don't know. A part of me also says FUCK IT just make a TGP...but there seems to be sooooo many.

Please post your thoughts. It would be much appreciated.

hehe. theres no answers yet. thats why i love this board! woooo. wait i didn't answer either.. but that design didn't do much for me. i'm kinda in the same boat as you right now. so i'm watching. i said fuck tgps.. theres more tgps than there are people in china.

Hhahahahah. Tell me about it man...like no answers yet. That's cool though. I understand.

Anyway, ummmm for the little feedback I did receive regarding the design can you guys tell me specific reasons why you don't really like it? It's no big deal, like I said...it's just an initial test design as well as the very first adult design I've ever attempted...so please feel free to explain what could be done better.

You need to find a newbie board for those kind of answers. Although fun to post on, GFY is different mix and quite a few veterans that have seen countless folks come and go and take a little piece of marketshare =) and I think there's some protocol against people posting url to other boards, so if you want some links and pointers shoot me some mail or icq I'll point you in the right direction.

What the fuck am I doing wrong??!!
Here's a newbie just a few weeks into it and thoughts of paysite success are already on his mind. I'm 3 years deep and still wondering what type of paysite I'm going to do.

Someone shoot me. I'm a failure.

Hhahahahahaha. Relax dude. I simply stated that it is a consideration. And you make it sound like I don't think it's going to be a big project or something. Believe me, if that is the route I decide to go...I plan on taking baby steps.
