there was a guy on tv yesterday. tom somebody, who claimed that time travel in the future, would only be posssible into the past, until the moment that the first time was invented. e.g, say the first time machine was invented in 2200ad, a time traveller from 2400ad could only send a message as far back as 2200ad, and only into a parelell universe, where everything is already planned (fate)

a person travelling from the future could have no effect on the past because of this grandfather clause
