Paintball ... Camo ... Ghillie suit.. need opinions
 

hey guys i am about to take up paintball... planing to be a sniper and i need opinion on a ghillie suit, if anyone here know anything about it then id love to hear your opinions

What kind of paintball are you playing? I've been playing for a few years and have never seen anyone wearing one of those. Granted, there are the "war game" type events, but those don't take place as often.

I play speedball, which is usually 5v5 and the games are fast moving and quick, time wise. Most people wear brightly color uniforms to distinguish their teammates from their opponents. There's no hiding, and anyone who stays put for too long will get nailed sooner than later.

What type of marker are you looking at?

In paintball though being the sniper is kinda boring. Unless you are planning to play serious and teams of 50 or more that are third party regulated :)

I plan to play on huge outdoor fields here in Montreal and I am currently looking for a team .... i dont really like speedball asmuch as a good huge wargame but i do play. i dont plan to use this suit during a speedball game and when it comes to markers i think a tippman with a flatline is what il be going for

That's pretty cheap.

i'm with the rest of these guys - even during a war game - i don't think you're gonna like the ghillie suit. paint ball guns are notoriously inaccurrate - and takes several shots - plus fly at a visible velocity - giving away your 'perfect spot'

also - with that suit - if you are gonna be ruining to the location - then dropping to the ground - okay.

but it doesn't look like a good ghillie suit - for most enivorments - you won't be able to low crawl/ slide across the ground - it's got all that crap on the belly that would snag on branches and shrubbery - besides makeing it hard to crawl - it could give away your position.

ghillie suit is the best camo but it's hot as hell. If you're gonna do that buy one of those very small 9V chip cooling fans and mount it in your googles. (Maybe they sell that now but I made mine.) You'll need it.

I much prefer to play a faster game: I run through the woods (several acres, not speedball) until I close not quite half the distance between the two camps. Then I stop, standing, very still, watching for the enemy moving. They always move, there's always an aggressive party. It's my thing to let them pass, then follow them. I wait until they are busy laying siege to the fort, then pick them off. Watch out, your own fort will shoot you.

Paintball is fun as hell.

Pr0, Local G, and I all bought Tippmann a5's. That's a badass marker. They say it can haul off 800 balls a minute - but the hopper only holds like 200. Nonetheless it's a scary weapon.

That Local G and Pr0 are pussies. They get all "I can't play today" every time I challenge them (which is often). I WANNA PAINT SOMEONE!
